A group of about 100 travelers from China visited Banff National Park - the first visit from China under the newly signed ADS agreement with Canada. A welcome reception was held atop Sulphur Mountain.

March 2010 sees the launch of a brand new experience performed outdoors on the majestic frozen glacial waters of Lake Louise in Banff National Park. The show will be performed by a cast of International and Canadian figure skating stars all skating to live music with the mountains as their backdrop.
Support from Banff Lodging Co. helps local Banff athletes train for the Olympics. Each year, Banff Lodging Co. provides ski passes to all the school-age children in Banff to make sure every child has the opportunity to enjoy skiing and reach their potential as an athlete or fan of the sport.
The 2010 Olympic Torch Relay visited Banff on its way to the Vancouver Winter Games on January 20th. With almost 9000 fans cheering Karen Percy Lowe as she carried the torch to stage. Our Mayor John Stutz was a proud Banffite and a proud Canadian! With Music by The Canadian Tenors and Bomba and special appearance by Ryan Smyth the crowd was definitely entertained.
