On September 7, 2008, Coney Island in Brooklyn New York closed its doors to a historic landmark known as Astroland. All things must change and the old makes way for the new. To celebrate this piece of history, I shot some video to try and capture this place for posterity. I present it in two parts, unedited: The Last Day of Astroland.

This is the glitch found on Crash Mania found by Crash 'n Conker/CNC. And this is also a thanks to Patreviewkid/Eyebot for the idea. Near the end the video will just stop, so just fast forward it to the next screen and it will go on. Sorry about the sound delay. It happens to a lot of my videos for some reason. . .

From NY1: "The Coney Island History Project is looking for a new home for Astroland's famed Rocket Ship. The group says a museum, park, or other public venue would be ideal, but they are open to other ideas. The rocket debuted in 1962 as the first ride at Astroland. The 26-seat ride simulates the feeling of being in outer space."

This is the Huss made 'Breakdance' at Astroland Amusement Park in Coney Island, NY. It's probably the best operated Breakdance in the US. You'd have to go to a European funfair to find a better one.
It has been confirmed that New York will be stripped of its unforgettable legacy- thats right folks... ASTROLAND. To honor this epic sanctuary Youth Channel decided to pay homage to the last days of Coney Island's greatest. The final breaths of Astroland are captured through memories, comments, and anecdotes of those who made Astroland the GIANT that it was known for... all of New york and more!
