On December 22nd 2008 NCCC dispatched a Working Box Alarm for Dewart St in Shamokin. Due to cold temperatures and windy conditions upon arriving on scence the commanding chief requested a 2nd alarm to be brought in. The 2nd alarm brought in Mount Carmel, Kultpmont, and Brady Fire companies to help fight the blaze.
Due to weather conditions during the fire a 3rd alarm was put on standby.
